Gorn Vs. The Shat to Promote New Star Trek Game

This might very well be the greatest commercial I've seen in a long while.  I still have no vested interest in the product, but seeing Captain Kirk fighting Gorn at 82 years old is brilliant.

Video Preview of Nintendo Wii U April Update

We knew Nintendo was working on addressing the long loading times while loading menus on the Wii U, and from the video that was released today, they have done exactly what they set out to do.

The update will be out next month, but as of right now that is the only release information we have.

Interestingly enough, the Nintendo 3DS just got an update a few days ago that also speeds things up for the system that turned two today.  Hopefully that means we will get our April update relatively soon.

Review: The Amazing Spider-Man Ultimate Edition

The Amazing Spider-Man Ultimate Edition Game Review

Ever since I was a little kid, Spider-Man has been my favorite superhero. Now that I have gotten older (even though I haven’t actually grown up yet), Spider-Man still ranks up there in the top three. I have played almost every single Spider-Man game ever made, and I have loved almost all of them. Yes, I even liked Spider-Man/X-Men: Arcade’s Revenge. The first really good Spider-Man game, at least in my opinion, was Spider-Man on the PS1, N64, and Dreamcast. That is one of my all-time favorite Spidey games. Then when the movies game out, the games took a turn to sand-box territory. By the time Web of Shadows was released, the formula was starting to feel a little stale. This staleness led directly into my second favorite Spidey game: Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. Shattered Dimensions (as well as Spider-Man: Edge of Time) was a foray back to the level based gameplay, and helped breathe new life into the franchise.

The Amazing Spider-Man Ultimate Edition Game Review

With the release of The Amazing Spider-Man movie, the series has gone back to the sandbox. The game was released on the Nintendo Wii, but it was butchered. Gone was the open world enjoyed by those playing on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game suffered immensely for it. The Amazing Spider-Man on the Wii was the most disappointing Spidey game I have ever played. Now the game has been released on the Nintendo Wii U, and thankfully, it is the full thing. It even has all of the DLC that was available for the other two platforms. Was the game worth the wait? Could it possibly make up for the horrible Wii version?

Capcom Releasing DuckTales and Dungeons & Dragons This Summer!

DuckTales Remastered

The part of my brain that controls how happy I am is currently on overload.  Capcom has announced that they are bringing DuckTales Remastered and the two Dungeons & Dragons arcade games (under the name DUNGEONS & DRAGONS: CHRONICLES OF MYSTARA) to Xbox Live, PlayStation Network, Nintendo eShop, and PCs this summer.

I have always been a fan of all three games, but holy cow, look at the DuckTales game!  It is being made by WayForward and looks completely amazing!

It's like Paper Mario leaked into Disney!

Make sure to check the press release for all of the details!

Review: BIT.TRIP Presents... Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien

BIT.TRIP Presents Runner 2 Future Legend of Rhythm Alien

BIT.TRIP Presents... Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien
(Available on PS3, Xbox 360, Wii U (reviewed), PC (also reviewed), and PS Vita (Summer 2013)

When I reviewed BIT.TRIP Saga for the Nintendo 3DS, I stated my love for the series, so when BIT.TRIP Presents... Runner 2: Future Legend of Rhythm Alien was announced, it should be no surprise that I was pretty darn happy.  I wasn't sure how I would feel about the new aesthetics of the game, but I knew that the game play would still be solid.  I got even more excited about it when the developers said that the Wii U version was the best console version of the game.  Could the game ever dream to live up to my lofty expectations?

Nightmare Fuel: The Legend of Cage

Ready to have nightmares for the rest of the week?  Check out this game hack of The Legend of Zelda: Majora's Mask.  Youtuber Criken2 added Nicolas Cage's face to everyone else's faces, as well as replacing some other textures.

I saw the video this morning, and I knew I had to share this gloriously horrifying video with everyone I could.  I'm sorry.

Zen Pinball 2 Finally Comes to Wii U March 21

Zen Pinball 2 arrives on Wii U March 21
FINALLY!
The wait for this game has been nearly unbearable!  Since being announced so many months ago, Zen Pinball 2 has been one of my most anticipated releases for the Wii U.  With the title finally releasing next week, that wait is nearly over.  I absolutely love the two titles on the Nintendo 3DS (after all, I did name Marvel Pinball 3D as my 3DS eShop GotY), but I have missed playing the majority of the tables I used to have on the Xbox 360.  Being able to play the Epic Quest, Paranormal, Plants Vs. Zombies, and Wolverine tables again has a real pants-tightening effect on me.

All that is needed now is an announcement for the Star Wars tables and some Nintendo-themed tables, and everything would be perfect.

Why I Love The Stupids & You Should Too

As busy as things are lately, I have been watching a lot of movies.  I have been waiting until everyone else is sleeping, and then watching a movie almost every night for the past month and a half.  I have mostly been focusing on movies I haven't seen before, but I've also had a growing desire to watch one of my favorite nutball movies of all time.

I'm not trying to say that this movie is one of the best ever made, because it clearly is not.  That's not what this is about.  The movie deals with death and the after life, time travel, aliens, postal conspiracies, talking foliage, pets that are smarter than their owners, illegal arms deals, assassins, daytime talk shows, and Tom Arnold.  There really is something for everyone.  You might not enjoy the entire movie, but if you watch the whole thing and can't name a single part that you liked, you do not have a sense of humor and should immediately rethink the direction your life is headed.

Nintendo Direct March 13: Flipnote Studio 3D

Flipnote Studio 3D Coming to Nintendo 3DS Summer 2013

Talk about coming out of nowhere!  With a Nintendo Direct Mini, Nintendo finally made the official announcement for Flipnote Studio 3D, and it has brought with it some controversy (honestly can't say I expected that). You can watch the video after the jump.

A World of Kelflings Invading Windows 8 & Wii U

A World of Kelflings Windows 8

A World of Kelflings, one of my favorite XBLA games, has made its way to Windows 8.  That is pretty good news, because I can actually play it again  In fact, the game is available now for $6.99.

That isn't even my favorite tidbit of information though, because the game is also coming to the Wii U later this year.  A wonderful announcement, and I think the game will lend itself perfectly to the GamePad.

Check out the press release after the jump.

Darkstalkers Resurrection is Here

Darkstalkers Resurrection

As a long time fan of the series, I am pretty excited to see this re-release of the classic fighting game (even though I don't have anything I can play it on).  The game is available on the PlayStation Network today for $14.99, and will be available on Xbox Live Arcade tomorrow for 1200 MS Points.

Do yourself a favor and buy it.  You know you want a fighting game where you can have a rocker zombie fight a werewolf. Or the scantily clad cat-girl versus the scantily clad succubus.

Hit the jump for the press release.

We Have Joined Tumblr

Just wanted to mention that I finally got around to starting up a Tumblr page for the site.

You can follow it here.  I'm going to use that for all of these short little updates that don't warrant an actual post on the page.  Much like this one.

Iron Man 3: Use ALL The Suits!

I know I am a little behind in posting this, but I was too busy yesterday to do it.  I would have done it after I got home from work, but we got Wreck-It Ralph, so I had to watch that last night.

Anyway, here is the newest trailer for Iron Man 3.  The last part actually gave me chills when I loaded it up through YouTube on the Wii U Browser.

Buy My Crap

This is a special occasion, because it is officially my first "self marketing" post!  That's right, I have made some horrible and crappy t-shirt designs, stickers, and even an iPhone case, and I'm going to put them here and try to get you to buy some.

Sriracha Chili Pepper shirt

You can see my attempts at art in my storefront here.  Who knows, maybe you would possibly want to buy something perhaps?

Richard Simmons And Leprechauns

Those of you who follow this page on Facebook (and if you don't, why not? Click the "Like" thingy over on the right!), you would know that yesterday served up a few strange moments for me.

The first was this... interesting... video that I found on YouTube from none other than Richard Simmons.  Yes, Mr. Sweatin' to the Oldies himself.

I still don't know what to say about that.  That wasn't even the weirdest thing that happened yesterday.
