Funko Ripping Off Subscribers of Marvel Collector Corps Boxes

A few days ago, I got my Marvel Collector Corps Spider-Man Homecoming box.  I was decently pleased with what was in the box.

That changed today, when I discovered that one of the bigger items wasn't actually exclusive to the box.

I am a big fan of Funko Pops!, and I was looking on the Hot Topic website a little while ago to see if anything had recently been added.  I didn't see anything that was really new, so I decided to look at the Spider-Man Homecoming merchandise they had available.

That's when I found the shirt.

Spider-Man Homecoming Trailer 2 is Here

Marvel/Sony have released a new trailer today of everyone's favorite web-slinging hero, and it has raised my hype meter even higher!

So, we see a bit more of  Adrian Toomes as himself and the Vulture, and we see a ever so slight hint at his motivation.  We also see more Tony Stark.  A lot more, actually.  You can tell he is trying to look out for Peter's safety, but he does it in a very Tony Starkian manner and just comes off dickish.  We also know why Peter is shown wearing his home made costume (the reverse color Scarlet Spider outfit).

I really liked the first trailer, but this one I enjoyed more.  Did this trailer raise your excitement for the movie, or are you just not impressed?

New Captain America: Civil War Trailer Swings Onto the Inter-Webs

That was my no-subtle-at-all way of telling you this guy shows up in the new trailer for Captain America: Civil War:

We finally got our first look at the MCU Spider-Man!  Ever since I was little, Spidey was one of my favorite heroes, so seeing him in the MCU is outstanding.

It's Official: Spider-Man is Coming to the Marvel Cinematic Universe!

After countless rumors and email hacks, it was officially announced that Spider-Man will indeed be making his way into the Marvel Cinematic Universe.  In fact, the next time we see Spidey on the big screen will be in one of the MCU films.  Current speculation is that he will be in Captain America: Civil War, due to the fact he played a large role in the comic version.

After that, this new Spider-Man (yes, it will be another new version) will have his own stand alone movie, currently slated for release July 28, 2017.  This will take the place of Thor 3, which will now be coming out in November 2017, and Black Panther, Captain Marvel, and The Inhumans all get bumped back one movie slot.

Check out the press release after the jump for all of the current details.

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Video Game - First Look

This one seems like it is going to be... interesting.  I like the fact that they going to give us a story where Kraven the Hunter is teaching Spider-Man, because it should force Peter to make some tough decisions.  Hopefully, we the players will get to make those decisions to give them some more weight.  I mean, we know Spidey would choose to do the right thing, but would you?

Make sure to click the image below to check out the official images released alongside the trailer!

The Amazing Spider-Man 2 will be available this Spring on PC, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, Wii U, and 3DS.

Review: The Amazing Spider-Man Ultimate Edition

The Amazing Spider-Man Ultimate Edition Game Review

Ever since I was a little kid, Spider-Man has been my favorite superhero. Now that I have gotten older (even though I haven’t actually grown up yet), Spider-Man still ranks up there in the top three. I have played almost every single Spider-Man game ever made, and I have loved almost all of them. Yes, I even liked Spider-Man/X-Men: Arcade’s Revenge. The first really good Spider-Man game, at least in my opinion, was Spider-Man on the PS1, N64, and Dreamcast. That is one of my all-time favorite Spidey games. Then when the movies game out, the games took a turn to sand-box territory. By the time Web of Shadows was released, the formula was starting to feel a little stale. This staleness led directly into my second favorite Spidey game: Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. Shattered Dimensions (as well as Spider-Man: Edge of Time) was a foray back to the level based gameplay, and helped breathe new life into the franchise.

The Amazing Spider-Man Ultimate Edition Game Review

With the release of The Amazing Spider-Man movie, the series has gone back to the sandbox. The game was released on the Nintendo Wii, but it was butchered. Gone was the open world enjoyed by those playing on the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3. The game suffered immensely for it. The Amazing Spider-Man on the Wii was the most disappointing Spidey game I have ever played. Now the game has been released on the Nintendo Wii U, and thankfully, it is the full thing. It even has all of the DLC that was available for the other two platforms. Was the game worth the wait? Could it possibly make up for the horrible Wii version?

Zen Pinball 2 Finally Comes to Wii U March 21

Zen Pinball 2 arrives on Wii U March 21
FINALLY!
The wait for this game has been nearly unbearable!  Since being announced so many months ago, Zen Pinball 2 has been one of my most anticipated releases for the Wii U.  With the title finally releasing next week, that wait is nearly over.  I absolutely love the two titles on the Nintendo 3DS (after all, I did name Marvel Pinball 3D as my 3DS eShop GotY), but I have missed playing the majority of the tables I used to have on the Xbox 360.  Being able to play the Epic Quest, Paranormal, Plants Vs. Zombies, and Wolverine tables again has a real pants-tightening effect on me.

All that is needed now is an announcement for the Star Wars tables and some Nintendo-themed tables, and everything would be perfect.

Peter Parker's New Costume For Amazing Spider-Man 2

This was just posted over on ComingSoon:

New Amazing Spider-Man 2 Suit
Click for a much larger look
It's the first look at the new Spider-Man costume from next year's Amazing Spider-Man 2.  My first two reactions are that 1) I love the eyes, and 2) the rest of it, at least in this shot, looks like the suit from the original trilogy.  I do like this suit so far.  I hope it's a nice blending of the classic Spidey suit and the suit from the first Amazing Spider-Man.

I really enjoyed what they did with Amazing Spider-Man, and I really hope they can keep that momentum with next summer's sequel.  I guess only time will tell.

Zen Pinball 2 on Wii U This Month

Zen Pinball 2 Wii U Logo

This is the greatest bit of news that I have heard this month!  Zen Studios is bringing their collection of amazing pinball tables to the Wii UZen Pinball 2 will be a free download later this month, with a minor catch.  For those of you not familiar with how Zen Studios does their pinball thang, the core game hub of Zen Pinball 2 is free, and it includes trial versions of the tables.  You then buy the tables themselves.  It is a pretty nice à la carte system.  That way, it's easier to avoid tables that you don't like.

The best part of this news lies in the list of tables that will be available when the game launches on the Wii U.  Basically, everything is going to be there that is available in the other versions of Zen Pinball 2.  So, all of the Marvel Pinball tables, the Plants Vs. Zombies table, and Epic Quest, all of my favorites, will be available.

You can check out the trailer and the full list of features and tables after the jump.

Civil War is Coming Next Week

Marvel Pinball: Civil War

In the form of a pinball table, that is.  Marvel's Civil War is headed to Zen Pinball 2 and Pinball FX 2.  For those of you who are unaware, Marvel's Civil War pitted hero against hero over the Superhuman Registration Act.  The two sides were headed up by Iron Man, who was for the act, and Captain America, who was against it.  The only thing I really remember from the story is the fact that Spider-Man unmasked himself at a press conference.

Anyway, the amazing people at Zen Studios have made what will no doubt be another outstanding Marvel pinball table, and it will be available next week on, well, everything but the 3DS and Wii it seems.  You can see the trailer and a full release list, including prices, after the jump.
