Short Reviews of RiffTrax Shorts: The Trouble With Women

It's Short Reviews of RiffTrax Shorts, our new series where the title is almost as long as the actual reviews!  We are going to take a look at a RiffTrax Short almost every day this year, until we run out of shorts.  That will get us through the majority of the year, so strap in for madness!

(Released July 17, 2008)

The Trouble With Women is a Short made to show how the trouble with women is actually men who think women are trouble. Try saying that three times fast.

One Mr. Bradshaw (or maybe it's Brad Shaw.  We know for sure his first name is Brad.  Brad Bradshaw?  I'm just going to stick with Mr. Bradshaw.  This whole thing is getting too confusing.) gets a new hire for his department, and it's yet another woman!  That was the straw that broke the camel's back, so he goes to the Personnel Manager about it.  He had a woman in his department dare to go off get married after being engaged for a mere six months.  Another one didn't like having to switch stations.  According to the Personnel Manager, Mr. Bradshaw doesn't like dealing with his employees having a life.  Viewers are then posed the question "what is Brad's trouble?"

This is a good solid riff, with lots of solid jokes—even if a lot of it is low hanging fruit.

The Trouble With Women gets four oscilloscope mansplaining out of five.
