Short Reviews of RiffTrax Shorts: Right or Wrong

It's Short Reviews of RiffTrax Shorts, our new series where the title is almost as long as the actual reviews!  We are going to take a look at a RiffTrax Short almost every day this year, until we run out of shorts.  That will get us through the majority of the year, so strap in for madness!

(Released July 14, 2008)

How is your moral compass?  Right or Wrong aims to teach us how to judge other people's actions.

We are shown the story of Harry Green, a boy who is hanging out with a group of hoodlums one night.  The group of boys decide to bust out some windows at a warehouse, but Harry doesn't.  Unfortunately, Harry is the one boy that the night watchman of the warehouse sees.  So, he does the right thing and calls the cops on him.  Harry won't rat out his friends, and the owner of the warehouse wants to make an example, because he thinks it will be a good way to help stop the vandalism in the area.

The short doesn't give any sort of resolution to anything.  We are simply told to judge everyone's actions.  It kind of reminds me of Why Doesn't Cathy Eat Breakfast.

I really enjoyed watching this short again.  There are a few good laugh out loud moments, especially the riff about the dad being in a good mood after a long night at the coal mine.

I give Right or Wrong four broken windows out of five.
