HMM '12 Day 3: Bio Zombie

It's finally October!  That means two very important things: Pumpkin Pie Pop-Tarts are almost here, and Halloween is near!  My favorite thing to do in October to prepare myself for Halloween is to, of course, watch movies that I feel best exemplify the season.  Now, this doesn't just mean extreme gore fests (of course, I do love me some gore), but I like to include movies that have that Halloween feel.  Let's get to Day 3 of Halloween Movie Madness 2012!

Bio Zombie
(Media Blasters, 2001)

Tonight's movie is a special treat.  It was something that a friend introduced me to.  He handed me a DVD case that was mostly in Chinese.  Inside this case was a movie called Bio-Zombie.  He told me if I liked it I could keep it because he bought the Region 1 version.  I honestly wish I could find the Region 1 version because I hear the English dub (this disc only has English subs) is funny as hell.

Bob Hates Cilantro Too!

I just got done watching Sunday's season premiere of Bob's Burgers on Hulu Plus.  If you have never seen the show, all you need to know is that H. Jon Benjamin is the voice of Bob.  That, and the show is hilarious.  Case in point: Bob has a chalk board on the wall where he writes the Burger of the Day.  These are always great: Thank God It's Fried Egg, These Collards Don't Run, Hit Me With Your Best Shallot... For every day that passes on the show, there is a new burger.

In Sunday's premiere, there were three.  The second one is the best one that they have had so far.

Tonight's movie is the first from John Carpenter that are going to be a part of Halloween Movie Madness.  It also stars Roddy Piper.  They Live also spawned one of the most popular lines to ever come out of Duke Nukem's mouth.

After teaching my class this morning, I decided to stop at McDonald's for some lunch.  I am so glad I did.  Don't get me wrong, the eating of twenty chicken nuggets (I'm on a diet) isn't why I'm happy; I happened across one of the greatest Happy Meal toys of all time.
