Limited Edition Red Velvet Pop-Tarts

Limited Edition Red Velvet Pop-Tarts

What's this?  A new Limited Edition flavor of Pop-Tarts?  And it's Red Velvet??  Yes indeed!  And I was able to get my hands on some.  And boy, they are most definitely Red Velvet.

Two days ago, I found out about these by way of an email from Kellogg's.  By now, you should be well aware of how I feel about Pop-Tarts.  As soon as I saw this email, the hunt for the new flavor had officially begun.  I went to three stores looking for them, and when I finally found a box of them, there was literally one box left.  You know, for something that is manufactured in the same state I live in, these limited edition flavors are surprisingly difficult to come by.  That is rather irritating to me, especially when I have to venture into the pits of Hell (a.k.a. Walmart) to find them.

Look at that.  Don't they look wonderfully delicious?  I mean, just look at all of those tasty GMOs.  And the icing actually covers the majority of each one!

I wish I would have gotten a picture of the moment I broke that one open, because the filling is nice and gooey, so it pulled apart like frosting sometimes does when you remove a piece of cake.  If you have one of those new Scratch and Sniff (S-N-S) monitors*, go ahead and give that thing a whiff.  They captured the aroma of Red Velvet perfectly.

That isn't the only thing they replicated either.  The taste is outstanding.  I don't know what kind of voodoo the folks over at Kellogg's have been using on their Pop-Tarts, but they need to keep it up.  These are so good, you can almost taste the black magic in each morsel.

In short, if you like Red Velvet, or just trying new flavors of Pop-Tarts, these are sure to please.  I would even say they are worth going to Walmart for.

Wow, I can't believe I just said that.

*NOTE: These monitors are entirely wishful thinking on my part.  Please do not try to scratch your monitor.
