Bottom Shelf Mixology: Wine-A-Rita

Welcome to Bottom Shelf Mixology™!  Our staff of Mixologists have racked their brains (and livers) to come up with special "bottom shelf" versions of popular drinks, and some original creations that range from "oh, that might be interesting" to "that sounds absolutely disgusting".

Wine-A-Rita
  • 3 oz El Matador Blanco Tequila
  • 3 oz Master of Mixes Lite Margarita Mix
  • 2 oz Manischewitz Wine
  • Koser Salt
  • Ice
Put your ice, tequila, and margarita mix into your cocktail shaker and shake vigorously.

Rim your glass with the kosher salt, and pour in the contents of the shaker.  Add in the wine and gently stir.

It's the perfect drink for Cinco de Mayo!

RiffTrax: Best of the Worst 10 Year Anniversary Survey

Tonight, I was fully intending on updating my Top Ten RiffTrax B-Movie list.  I had the new rankings figured out, and as I sat down to start typing, I had an amazing idea!  You can tell me what your favorites are, and we can make the ultimate Best of the Worst lists for the Ten Year Anniversary!

We're going to have four lists total: B-Movies, Live Shows, Shorts, and MP3s.  And all you need to do to make your voice heard and shape this list is tell us your favorites at this handy little Google Form thing.

We will be taking submissions until we reach an arbitrary number, and hopefully that will give me enough time to compile the list before the RiffTrax Live: Time Chasers show on May 5.

Our First Look at Doctor Strange is Here!

The first teaser trailer for Doctor Strange was just released by Marvel, and by the hoary hosts of Hoggoth, it looks outstanding!

Botcon 2016 Trip Report

Fancey514 here, and I just got back from Botcon. Even though I was only able to make it Saturday, there was quite a bit going on. If you're unaware of Botcon, it's a yearly Transformers convention. Each year it is in a different location, Luckily for me, it hasn't been too far away from where I live the last two years. Last year it was in St. Charles, Illinois, and this year it was in Louisville, Kentucky. The convention ran from April 7th - 10th. This year is the 20th anniversary of Beast Wars, so a lot of the Botcon Exsclusive figures and items were related to that, but it's also the 30th anniversary of the first Transformers movie. You know, the good Transformers movie. There were packages you could get to go to Botcon: The Primus Package, which was $500 and included the Botcon Exclusive Combiner figures and a few other exclusives and gives you admission to all four days, The Minicon Package, which was $240 and is for family members to join the Primus Package members, The Protoform Package, which was $310 and is basically the Primus Package without the exclusives, or, you could be like me and only go to Saturday, which was $25 for general admission. In line to pay for general admission, they were selling a Transformers comic that is first available at Botcon called Dawn of the Predacus, which takes place 300 years before Beast Wars, It will be in stores, but at a later date.
