Bottom Shelf Mixology Rejects: Bad Movies, Worse Drinks Pt. 2

Welcome to Bottom Shelf Mixology™!  Our staff of Mixologists have racked their brains (and livers) to come up with special "bottom shelf" versions of popular drinks, and some original creations that range from "oh, that might be interesting" to "that sounds absolutely disgusting".

Last month, I got the bright idea to start making terrible drink recipes based on terrible movie that have had the RiffTrax and MST3K treatment.

I've chosen three more movies to theme drinks around, and I have a few more reader submitted drinks from Twitter.

Castleton Crush
  • 1 oz Pure Maple Syrup
  • 6 oz Asahi
  • 1 Hardtack Biscuit
Mix the maple syrup and Asahi.  Stick the hardtack in the glass and let it soak.

You will have plenty of time to chase while waiting for the hardtack to soften up enough to be edible.  Like eight hours at a minimum.

Deviled Doll
  • 1 Egg Yolk, Deviled
  • 1 Toaster Strudel Icing Packet
  • 1 oz Ouzo
  • Ghost Pepper Hot Sauce
Hard boil an egg, and then devil the yolk.  Mix in the icing packet, and throw away one Toaster Strudel (because you can't eat them without the icing).  After the icing is thoroughly mixed in with the yolk, mix in the Ouzo.

Before you eat this, shake a few drops of the hot sauce on top.  You may feel possessed after consumption, but one quick trip to the bathroom and you will exorcise those demons.  And possibly your liver.

Acoustic Estevez
1 oz Prune Juice
4 oz Surge
4 oz Moonshine
1 pkg Ramen Noodles, Uncooked
Mix the Surge, juice, and moonshine together.

Put the package of noodles into a mason jar.  All of them.  Just cram them in the jar.  It doesn't matter if they get all crumbly or not, just get them in the jar.

Pour the drink over the noodles, and drink.

And we have three contributions from Twitter this time around:

Look for part three soon!
