Bottom Shelf Mixology Rejected Drinks: Celebrity Chef Edition!

Welcome to Bottom Shelf Mixology!  Our staff of Mixologists have racked their brains (and livers) to come up with special "bottom shelf" versions of popular drinks, and some original creations that range from "oh, that might be interesting" to "that sounds absolutely disgusting".

Today, we have a special treat for you!  This is our list of rejected drinks based on celebrity chefs.  See if you can guess the chef that inspired each recipe.  It shouldn't be too difficult.

The Frosted Tips
  • 6 pieces Frosted Corn Flake cereal
  • 3 oz Barton Vodka
  • 1 Egg
  • Frank's Red Hot
  • Frosted mug
Crack the egg into the frosted mug, and mix in the vodka, stirring vigorously.  Add in some Frank's Red Hot.

Float the cereal on top of the drink, and you've got yourself a winner winner, chicken dinner.

Grillmaster
  • 1 can Keystone Ice Beer
  • 1 Hot Dog Bun
  • 1/4 tsp Steak Sauce
  • 1/4 tsp Liquid Smoke
Pour the steak sauce and liquid smoke into a glass.  Add in the beer.  Stir well.

Stick the hot dog bun into the glass to soak up the drink.  Eat.

Molto Italiano
  • 1 Pint Glass of Marinara Sauce
Drink.

Top Notch
  • 1 750ml bottle Cisco Red Wine
  • 1 tsp Garlic Powder
  • Fresh Ground Black Pepper
Open the bottle, and add the garlic powder and some freshly ground black pepper.  Put the cap on tight, and shake well.

Take the cap off the bottle and chug.

Yumm-Oh No!
  • 3 oz Ouzo
  • 2 oz Extra Virgin Olive Oil
  • 1 halved Fig
  • 1 Sugar Packet
Pour the EVOO in a small pan on the stove, over high heat.  Cover the exposed flesh of the fig with sugar, then place sugar side down in the pan.  Leave until light brown bubbles start forming in the pan around the edge of the fig.  Remove the fig from the pan, and the pan from the heat.

After the pan has cooled, pour the contents into your glass.  Add in the ouzo and the fig.

The Angry Brit
  • 1 Bottle of whatever alcohol turns you into a drunken ball of rage.
Drink.
